Dear Friends,
It is our belief that Argentine Tango has, among many, two important and distinctive elements:
One is the footwork (mechanics) and the other is the style with which one executes the footwork.
In the view of some, the style can take a long time. Some believe that you have to "walk" for at least a year and do "ochos" for six months. Boleos and Ganchos must be executed for perhaps a couple of years before you can dance.
We concentrate first on the footwork and secondly, on the style. We strongly believe that if you can start dancing quickly, you can then start enjoying dancing tango and will be able to concentrate on improving your style.
To teach the footwork we have developed a "building blocks" technique using seven essential steps needed to efficiently navigate the floor. A good beginner student can learn two or three steps in one hour and will be dancing in just a few hours of instruction.
The satisfaction of many students and word of mouth, have resulted in my being featured in "The Westchester Magazine" as the Best Argentine Tango Teacher in Westchester, NY. I am surprised, honored and humbled by such an article.
Follow the links below to see the article and the video and many thanks to all who made it possible.
